FROM THE ORIGINS TO TODAY

The Ciscato family began their journey in the world of bicycles in 1914.

In the early years the size of the business was limited to a small shop in the historical centre of Vicenza where repairs and small mechanical jobs were done.

After a hiatus caused by the First World War, the shop reopened and the business expanded to a workshop outside of Vicenza, where frames and bicycles were produced on behalf of a well known Italian brand.

In the 1970s the business grew and Giorgio Ciscato, having gained considerable experience working for the famous factory “Campagnolo”, took over management of the shop previously run by his uncle. The shop then began working with the renowned frames producing company Alan to produce bicycles with innovative aluminium frames for the Polish national cycling team. In 1973 just with the  bicycles assembled by the Ciscato family, Polish national cycling dominated the amateurs World championship, winning the gold medal in the team time trial and gold and silver in the road race with Ryszard Szurkowski and Stanislav Szozda.

Ciscato distinguished themselves by the production of bicycles for professionals and amateursand by providing a complete  maintenance for all types of bicycles.

The collaboration with Campagnolo continued with Giorgio’s son Gaetano who joined the company in the 1980s, while the second-born Giovanni joined his father in managing the shop.

Today the family business focuses on the production of top-quality bicycles under its own brand with Made-In-Italy frames and components from prestigious Italian brands.

The result is a selection of customized bicycles that are manually created one by one following the costumer’s anthropometric measures and therefore stand out in comparison to today’s mass-produced products.
